Fighting again

After being told by my Gp that the therapy “failed” I’ve been put back on antidepressants. Against my better judgement I’ve started the course. The thing is they don’t help me get to the route of the problems. My doctor said I can see you have a history of serious depression. Well no shit Sherlock. My notes of the last three years would make a great horror novel.

I see it as a stop gap. I went there to see if I can get some proper help. I was told I can’t get referral to specialist because I’m functioning as a person. Sometimes it feels as though I’m not being listened to.

It’s time the government saw the massive problem building up. With the Savile and Hall cases there are more survivors coming forward.

I firmly believe that the NHS has a responsibility to help survivors.
